Would you like to play your favorite WoW characters on your Android phone? Seems impossible, right? Well, actually it’s possible. Seems doubtful? Well, let me tell you more.
GameString has finally unleashed a technology on how to stream a game over the web while using a custom-user interface. It’s basically a concept which lets you play any game without downloading anything. The GameString Platform does all the hardwork for you. All you need to do is press a single link. And with this unique technology, you will be able to stream your Warcraft game from the cloud and play it on your Android-enabled mobile phone.
However, this system is still on its Alpha Stages so it’s not open to gamers yet.
Meanwhile, a video demo from GameString showed the actual gameplay with custom touch-friendly buttons for easier access to magic spells. Check it out!
The demo was successfully done using an HTC Desire Android Phone connected to a Server Network of 2Mbps up and a Client Network of 2Mbps down. It was hosted on a GameString Adrenalin Server with Dual-Mode Delivery running a standard Warcraft game install.
So if you want to try out Warcraft on your Android phones, feel free to sign-up at adrenalin.gamestring.com. The game will be officially launched around the second or third week of January 2011. As for those who are curious if Cataclysm is going to be included, no official news has been released about it. But we’re hoping to play it sometime soon!
